I wonder how Taco Night came to be Taco Night. What other dishes have their own nights? It's even commemorated in this article.

That article is awesome. Best line, "Where the hell do you get off? You know Taco Tuesday isn't an anything-goes–type atmosphere."
Whenever I think about "Taco Night" I immediately sing Paul Westerberg's "Men Without Ties"
