So now that summer is half-way over is there anything you're still looking forward to?
YES! As I type this I am semi-watching Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (which is cute, but not nearly as good as the book). I call this viewing: ramping up for the big event.
First in NINE days is Scott Pilgrim 6: Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour. I've been obsessed with Scott Pilgrim since I read all five volumes in a frenzy late this spring. I owned Volume 1 for about a year before I even cracked it open. But now I've been impatiently waiting for the series finale. I've been known to randomly shout to my nephew, Max, "TEN DAYS TO SCOTT PILGRIM." He's obsessed too. So is Ericka. It's contagious.
All this is leading up to the movie in August, Scott Pilgrim vs. The Universe which stars Michael Cera. Have I discussed my Michael Cera fetish before? I believe I have. I love him. I know he often plays teenage boys and that does make me feel a little coo-coo-katchoo, but I don't care.
So yes, QotD I am looking forward to a few things still this summer.
I just looked up Michael Cera. OK.....I remember who he is now. I suppose that is akin to my interest in Zach Efron ;) I am not familiar with the books or the movie that you have mentioned so I will have to look into them.

I wonder where fetish falls on the list of most frequently misused words. I bet it's in the top five.

Freedom the books are goofy, fun graphic novels. They're aimed for the 13-18 crowd, but they're highly entertaining for people of all ages.

I admit you had me worried. I looked up fetish and according to definition 2 (
any object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or devotion:
to make a fetish of high grades.)
I'm using it correctly.

You're using it stupidly. Saying you have a fetish for a person misses the whole point. Besides, that's probably a case where so many idiots like you use the word incorrectly that dictionaries have adopted a secondary definition.

You're probably right about the incorrect use bringing up the 2nd defintion (not about me being an idiot). I had no idea there was a first definition until I looked it up today.

Thank you for telling me about the books. I say you can use words any way you want to on your wall.
